Human Trafficking Awareness

Human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing criminal enterprises in the world. It affects adults, teens, and children of every background, and often hides in plain sight.

Traffickers use manipulation, violence, fraud, and coercion to exploit victims for labor, sex, or financial gain. Many victims are isolated, threatened, and unable to seek help on their own.

Common indicators may include:

  • Sudden changes in behavior, fearfulness, or isolation
  • Someone being controlled by another person or unable to speak freely
  • Signs of physical abuse, malnourishment, or exhaustion
  • Lack of identification or personal belongings
  • Multiple unrelated people living or traveling together
  • Someone being monitored, coached, or prevented from leaving

Human trafficking thrives on silence.
